I got my period yesterday and it was one of those times where it felt like my ability to think had ground to a halt. Just a really bad case of the dumb. Today I feel so much more alert and able to function.

I didn't intend to watch Gotham last night, but then I saw Ben Edlund had written it, and I thought, if Edlund can't make this watchable, I'm truly out for good. Spoilers: It wasn't terrible! In fact, it was only about half-bad! Though I still am not planning to keep up with it. ( actual spoilers )

Listen, unsubstantiated rumors or not, the only way a Civil War type storyline works in Cap 3 is IF IT IS ABOUT BUCKY AND HIS ACTIONS AS THE WINTER SOLDIER, and people are torn over what's to be done about him (possibly featuring shirtless bear-wrestling. Ugh, I extended my vacation by one day - tomorrow - because I seriously thought I was going to lose it at work today. Gotham is a mess, but it has seeds of a show I could enjoy - Donal Logue is really good as Harvey Bullock and Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney grabs my attention and holds it hostage every time she's onscreen. Today's the one year anniversary of my mother's death. I can't believe it's been a year already. It's weird. It's still weird.
